Hershell Gene Stoner Obituary

Hershell Gene Stoner, 88 years of age, entered into rest on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to his late parents Hershel and Emogene Stoner. Hershell is also preceded in death by his wife, Sue Stoner, and his granddaughter, Delaney Eary. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Herschel Stoner (Noelle), and Nat Stoner (Meagan); his daughter, Corriene Hartman; his grandchildren, Dexton Stoner, Dalton Eary, Maddox Stoner, and Finn Stoner; his sister Kay Brody; and many nieces and nephews. Hershell was a man of strong faith in Jesus Christ and lived life well as a servant to all those around him. He attended Grace Fellowship Church for the last ten years and had served in church for decades prior. For nearly 40 years he served the community of Scottsbluff, NE as a self employed electrician, a sacrificial husband and father and was a selfless contributor to youth baseball there. His serving contributions earned him (along with his two sons) an invitation to be part of the 2025 Hall of Fame induction, a well-earned honor he will sadly miss. He was also a member of the NRA, and an avid gun collector. He spent the last 10 years living with his son Herschel and his wife Noelle and their children. He will be greatly missed by so many who knew and loved him and his giving spirit. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Grace Fellowship Church, 9379 Gunpowder Road, Florence, Kentucky 41042 at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.stithfuneralhome.com.
