Rosalina Rosario Antonio Obituary

Rosalina Rosario Antonio, affectionately known as Rose and Grandma Rose, departed this life peacefully on December 13, 2024 at the age of 95. Born on May 12, 1929, in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines, Rosalina lived a life filled with love, resilience, and service to others.

Rosalina, the daughter of Juan Rosario and Josephina Arenas, was the sixth of seven daughters. She grew up in the Philippines before embarking on a life-changing journey to the United States in 1952. At just 23 years old, she immigrated to San Francisco by steamship, carrying with her dreams of a brighter future.

In 1953, Rosalina met the love of her life, Cornelio Antonio, in Stockton, California. They married and together built a beautiful family, raising four children: Fernando, Carolyn, Cornelio, Jr., and Arlene. Rosalina’s dedication to her family was equally matched by her kindness and generosity towards others.

Shortly after arriving in the U.S., Rosalina pursued her passion for beauty and style by attending The Marinello School of Beauty. Later, her nurturing spirit led her to become a foster parent, warmly welcoming six young children into her heart and home over the course of six years.

Rosalina discovered her true calling in caregiving, dedicating several years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Garden Hospital on Geary Street. Her compassion and gentle touch left a lasting impact on the many patients she cared for.

Rosalina will be remembered for her unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and immense generosity. Her journey from San Carlos City to San Francisco exemplifies courage and determination, and her legacy of kindness and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great

grandchildren, as well as the countless lives she touched.
