Sharon L. Finck Obituary

Sharon L. Finck, 62, of Old County Rd., Canastota, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, in a house fire.


She was born on February 10, 1962, in Oneida, the daughter of Arnold E. and Margaret E. (Abbott) Shantal, Sr.


Sharon was a certified nurse’s aide for Menorah Park in Syracuse.


Sharon was of the Methodist faith. She adored animals, enjoyed trips to the area casinos, and was a true friend to all.


Surviving are her siblings, Arnold E. (Darlene) Shantal Jr., of Morrisville, Steven (Julie) Shantal, of Smithfield, Michael (Lori) Shantal, of Canastota; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by a brother, William Shantal.


A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held in the future. Interment will take place in Clockville Cemetery in the spring. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s memory to Wanderer’s Rest Humane Society, PO Box 535, Canastota, NY, 13032.
