Roosevelt Lee Shuler Obituary

“Blessed By The Best”

Roosevelt Lee Shuler was born August 31, 1939 and  departed this earth on December 13, 2024.

He was born  to the late Mr. Alto and Mrs. Geraldine Walls Shuler.  Roosevelt resided in Sarasota, Florida with his wife Connie Prattis Shuler in a 15 year marriage.

Roosevelt, “The Mighty Rowe”, owned his own business and was the best landscaper and fruit picker you ever met.  He was called  “The Legend” by everyone because he had a good heart and would help  everybody.  Roosevelt raised everybody’s children, regardless of the relationship.

Roosevelt loved having family reunions.  Every summer he would drive from state to state gathering all the grands so that they would be with him for the summer, at his house.  He loved to dance... Let the music start, he stepped on the floor and would “cut the rug”.

He is preceded in death by one son, Roosevelt, Jr.: one daughter, Sheena Prattis;  nine brothers:  L. C., Irvin, Remus, Wesley, George, Robert, Alto, Jr., Alfred, and Earl  Shuler; six sisters:  Mary, Jean,  Ruby Mae,  Margarite, Gladys, and  Mildred Shuler.

Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memories a loving and  devoted wife, Connie;  six sons: Kenneth, and  Louie both of SC, Jeremiah Trebbles, Victor, and Jerry all of Sarasota, and  George of St. Petersburg, FL; seven daughters: Susie Shuler Evans of Ellenton, FL, Cora Alston (Monroe) of Beaufort, SC, Julia Shuler Rose (Maurice) of Stafford, VA,  Margaret “Frenchy”, and Victoria both of Sarasota, FL, Lashonda Wilburn of Ruskin, FL, and Ida of Riverview, FL;  44 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren;  brothers: Sam, and Jerome both of Sebring, FL, James of Avon Park, FL, Kenneth, and Louie both of SC; sisters: Irene Green (Benjamin) of  Sarasota, FL, Bessie Ann of SC, and Meme Chisolm (Louis) of Lake Placid, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
