Deborah (Jewell) Barber, 69 of Cheboygan passed away Friday December 13th at her home surrounded by friends and family after multiple, long battles with cancer. She was born on February 22, 1955 to Raymond and Shirley (Depatti) Jewell. She graduated from Cheboygan High School and married Keith Barber on August 23, 1980. Deb worked for the city of Cheboygan for over 20 years, a majority of which were as the cemetery sexton of the Pinehill cemetery. She enjoyed sports, pets, sewing, gardening, playing cards and helping anyone she could. Deb is survived by her husband of 44 years Keith Barber, brother; John (Sharon) Jewell, Inlaws; William (Roseann) Barber, Sally Hiar, JeriLu Barber and Mike Owens, step-sister; June (Mike) Viau, step-brothers; Rollin (Tonya) Sova, and Mark (Missy) Sova, Children; Keith (Melanie) Barber, Raylene (Neil) Stillwell, Daniel (Kasey) Barber, 7 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, close family friends Gary and Karen Lewis and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ray (Donna) Jewell and Shirley (George) Evans, brothers; Rick Rocco and Don (Patty) Jewell, step-sister; Patti Sova, Inlaws; Blaine Barber, Frances Barber, Ken Barber, Joe Barber, Jimmy Barber, Sue Carlson, Nancy Owens, Mary (Robert) Bur, Vern Hiar, Tammy (Barber) Pawlowski, Rodney Bur and Zach Barber. A memorial luncheon will be held at Beaugrand Township Hall on Monday December 23rd from 11:00am - 2:00pm..
