Antoine DeShawn Rivers, Sr. was born on November 25, 1981, to Mrs. Angela Rivers-Wright and Charles Hollingshed, Sr.
Antoine attended Bibb County Public Schools and later the Job Corps, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to improving his future. After completing his education, he worked diligently at various jobs until finding his passion at Tyson Warehouse. Antoine was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication to his craft. His colleagues admired his cheerful attitude and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand.
A family man through and through, Antoine cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. He loved cooking out for his family, creating moments of laughter and connection through shared meals. His playful spirit shone through in his love for football, playing cards, and music, always infusing trash talking in the mix. Antoine’s ability to bring people together was a testament to his generous and warm nature.
On Friday, December 13, 2024, God called Antoine home, and he answered his Father’s call. Antoine was preceded in death by his aunt, Sharon Watson; his grandfathers, Otis Jackson and Fred Murray; and his uncles, Joseph Hollingshed, Jr., and Herald Hollingshed.
Cherishing the legacy of Antoine earthly seasons are his mother, Mrs. Angela Rivers Wright (Jerry); his father, Charles Hollingshed, Sr. (Sandra); and his children, Antoine DeShawn Rivers, Jr., ADarius Jamir Rivers, Adonis RaShad Rivers, Kennedi Nicole Murphy and KayDen Terrell Murphy; grandchildren, Rileigh Alexis Rivers and Phoenix Nikoale Rivers; his siblings, Kenyun VaShawan Rivers, Charles Hollingshed, Jr. (Chelotte), Iesha Shanay Tobler, and Caterina April Jones; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Jennie Mae Jackson; and paternal grandparents, Mrs. Josie Mae Hollingshed and Deacon Joseph Hollingshed, Sr.; his aunts, Tracy Lachelle Harris and Phyllis Renee Goodwin; uncles, Craig Steve Harris, Willie Maynard, Reginald Hollingshed, Donald Hollingshed (Irene) including his loving and caring special friend, Caryn Bryant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends that will always remember him fondly.
