Darrell J. Domangue, Sr., 75, of River Ridge, Louisiana., passed away on December 13, 2024, with his loving family beside him.

Darrell was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 27, 1949, to the late Kermit and Agnes Domangue. He went to school in New Orleans, Louisiana. Darrell married Maryann Giovingo Domangue on January 22, 1972, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from barber school and worked for himself for 57 years before he retired in 2024. He was involved in his kids’ activities and was a wonderful dad and a wonderful husband to Maryann for 52 years and 11 months. She was the love of his life.

He is preceded in death by his father Kermit Domangue and his mother Agnes Tregre Domangue.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Domangue, Children, Darrell Domangue, Jr. and wife Linda Domangue, Jeff Domangue and wife Robin Domangue, and Steven Domangue, sister, Judy Ross (Paul), grandchildren, Allie Domangue and Jeffrey Domangue, niece Kellie Fletcher and his grand-dogs Beau, Lenny and Charlie Domangue. He greatly loved all of them and enjoyed having them over. “Bub” as the grandkids called him, especially loved watching them play ball and wrestle over the years. He was very proud of both Allie and Jeffrey. He was always telling his friends and clients how good they were in sports and school, and this was also the same for all his children. But when Darrell and Jeff got married, he was so excited to have daughter in laws. He loved them with all of his heart. He will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. New Orleans, Louisiana, 70119, on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 12:30 pm with public visitation beginning at 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow the Mass and take place in Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana, 70124.
