Suddenly at his home, on Friday, December 13, 2024, Bill McConnell of Picton, died at the age of 59. Son of the late Roy McConnell & Marlene (nee Hayze) and step-son of Stephen Hinds of Lindsay and Ann McConnell of Ottawa. Beloved husband of the late Leanne Champion. Step-father of Jack Champion of Lindsay. Dearest brother of Denise McConnell (Mike Amos) of Picton, Merilee Wright of Toronto, Jeff Hinds (Francine) of Gravenhurst, Andrea Wright of Ottawa and Cindy Hinds of North Bay. Remembered by his nieces and nephews: Emily Wood (Graham) of Toronto, Mackenzie Greenhalgh (Ryan) of Whitby, Calder Amos-Wood (Hilary) of Toronto, Stephen Hinds (Daniela), Zachary Hinds (Katie), all of Belleville, Nicole Graham of Barrie, and Aydan Graham of North Bay.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at a later date.
