Jennings E. Williams, age 91, of Laurel, Delaware, passed away on December 13th 2024 at the Country Rest Home surrounded by his loving family. Jennings was born on July 21st 1933, to the late Gardner W. Williams and Mabel H. Dukes Williams. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jennings was a dedicated Wesleyan minister and had owned and operated Williams Construction for many years with his son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Williams; son, Ed Williams and his wife Sandy Anken; daughters, Bonnie Hitch and her husband Walter and Cindy Williams; grandson, Chris Williams and his wife Marietta; granddaughter, Lisa Taylor and her husband Chris; seven great grandchildren, Sean Williams, Anika Campbell, Elliot Williams, Maddie Taylor, Silas Taylor, Bella Taylor and Emmie Taylor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Madeleine Williams. A visitation will be held from 1pm-2pm on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home Inc., 700 West Street Laurel, Delaware 19956. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Reverend Jim Hitch will officiate. Interment will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel, Delaware.
