Arthur R. Wysocki Obituary

Arthur R. Wysocki, age 88, passed away on December 13, 2024. Born on May 16, 1936, to Fabyan John and Otillia Rose (Derezinski) Wysocki, Arthur was a beloved husband and friend.


Arthur was a dedicated amateur radio (ham radio) enthusiast, serving at one time as the President of his local club under the call sign N9BCA, and was actively involved in emergency communications. He enjoyed many activities throughout his life, including playing the dobra lap instrument, bowling, puzzles, cutting wood, painting jigs for fishing, shooting black powder guns, boating, hunting, and eating breakfast with fellow ham radio operators.


Arthur shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Lucy Wysocki. They were married on July 30, 1960, and shared 64 wonderful years together filled with cherished memories and unwavering love. For many years, Arthur cherished the family gatherings on their anniversary, where they often enjoyed a delightful Chief Waupaca boat ride.


He is survived by his wife, Lucy; stepchildren Lawrence (Arlene) Kizewski and Lorraine (Eugene) Jacobs; step-grandchildren Sam (Lindsay) Kizewski, Wade (Angi) Kizewski, Seth (Wendy) Kizewski, Rick (Sarah) Jacobs, and Jimbo (partner Kye) Jacobs; step-great-grandchildren Tayler (Steve), Kaylee (Brian), Ava, Noah, Chloe, Caleb, and Carly Kizewski, and Kiran Jacobs; step great-great-grandchild, Kendall; and brothers Frank Wysocki and John Wysocki.


He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Judith Lutz, Joanne Armold, Rosemary Wysocki, and Romona Mendyke, brother Jack Wysocki, and stepdaughter Roxane Kizewski.


He worked at Consolidated Papers in the wood room and attended Mid State Tech. He was a proud graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School.


Arthur's Catholic faith was an important part of his life, providing him with comfort and strength throughout the years.


Arthur's warmth, generosity, and passion for his interests will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love and devotion to Lucy, his family, and his faith will be forever remembered.


A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
