Pete (Panajiotis) Lenos, age 92, passed away peacefully with His beloved family by His side on December 13, 2024

He was preceded in death by His cherished and loving wife Jean (nee Beiner) Lenos. 

He was a loving Father of the late George (Mirka), the late Thomas, Steven (Carol), and John (Melissa). Loving Papou to the late Peter, Elizabeth (Brent) Oscar, Cassandra, Zachary (Jennifer), Danielle (Matthew) Wyraz, Bradley (Emma), Jared, Katrina (William) Steinhaus), Brittany (Brandon) Freeman, James and Emma. Loving Great-Papou to Preston & Christian Oscar; Jackson, Camden, & Hudson Lenos; Sarai, Braylon & Brooklyn Freeman; Wyatt Lenos; William Steinhaus; Zoey, Colter & Stevie Wyraz. Beloved brother to the late Tula (the late Panajiotis) Lazopoulos, the late Mary (the late Stellianos) Pavlakis, Despina (the late Stephanos) Harritos, and the late Connie (the late Nickolas) Sherios.

He was preceded in death by His loving and cherished immigrant parents George & Katherine (nee Kanellopoulos) Psilolegnos.

Loving Uncle to many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews. He was beloved by all that knew Him.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 and was part of the Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battery Unit 8391, where He earned the National Defense Medal. After His discharge from the military He went to work for the Santa Fe Rail Road beginning at the bottom as a Fireman and working His way up to Train Engineer until His retirement in 1992.

Visitation, Saturday, December 21, 2024, 12:00PM to 12:30PM at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 7560 S. Archer Road, Justice, Illinois.

Funeral, Saturday, December 21, 2024, 12:30PM Service to be held at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 7560 S. Archer Road, Justice, Illinois.

Interment, Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.
