William Floyd Shaw, AKA Peanut, was born January 6, 1963, in Piggott, Arkansas, to the late Street and Mary D. Shaw. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, December 13, 2024, at the Blossoms Rehab and Nursing Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 61.
William is survived by two sisters, Sarah and Linda (Junior) Perkins of Forest, Mississippi; one brother, Wayne Shaw of Doniphan, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Shaw, and sister, Rachel Conway.
William grew up in Corning, Arkansas, but traveled all over the country. He had a rebellious, wild, and free spirit, which led him to the Army with an honorable discharge and also to hitchhiking across the country. He had several jobs and met many people through his travels.
He had a kind, giving heart and loved to make people smile. He always had a joke to tell when he talked to you. His biggest love was for his animals and for children.
The family will hold a graveside service at a later date with burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas.
