Patricia Ann Wells , mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on December 13, 2024 after a brief illness with loved ones by her side. Patricia was born Friday June 13, 1930 in Elkton, South Dakota to Grace (Alberts) Kneip and Martin Joseph Kneip. She married Joseph Richard Wells in 1950 and shared 52 years together until he passed away in 2002. Together they raised 6 children. Her faith and family were most important to her. With a lifelong love of music, she had a beautiful singing voice, played clarinet in her youth, as well as piano all her life. Retired from the Retail Clerks Union, she worked at JC Penny’s, Hancock College Bookstore as well as prepared tax returns at H&R Block. Patricia was passionate about genealogy and lovingly compiled her family history. She also enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Ladies Golf League at Rancho Maria.
Patricia is survived by her children Denise (Ed) Branquinho of Cedar Rapids IA; Steven (Josie) Wells of Williamsburg, VA; Jeff (Elena) Wells of Katy, TX; Susan (Dennis) Fenton of Santa Maria, CA; Frank (Keiko) Wells of Camarillo, CA; Joe (Annette) Wells of Bremerton, WA, and her sister Jacque Rodig of Angels Camp, CA, as well as 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. John Neumann Church with celebration of life reception to follow.
