Carol Jo (McCauley) Swartz, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 13th, 2024.

She was born in Bloomington, Illinois, on September 9, 1946, to the late William H. and Norma (Miller) McCauley. She was raised by her mother and wonderful step-father, Russell Lawyer.

Alan and Carol enjoyed RV camping with friends and family and spent several years wintering in Arizona and Alabama. She loved (Swedish) weaving, creating beautiful quilts. Carol retired from Lowe’s, in 2006, where she mostly worked in customer service.

Carol was preceded in death, by her parents; brother, William Allen McCauley; and her daughters, Cari Lynn Swartz, and Lori Ann Swartz.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alan Swartz; brothers, Dan McCauley (Kathy) of Indianapolis, IN. and Russell Lawyer (Diane) Roswell, GA. 

A celebration of life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital – LoveShriners.org.
