Lewis K. Kuna, 90, of Williamsport passed away surrounded by family on Friday, December 13, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport. Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Sylvia (Musheno) Kuna.
Born August 7, 1934, in Williamsport he was the last surviving child of the late Jacob A. and Bertha A. (Rucinski) Kuna.
He graduated from Williamsport High School. Following his graduation, Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Army.
After his service, he returned to his hometown, where he became a familiar and trusted face at the Williamsport Water Authority for 37 years. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
Lewis was a man of many interests, all of which reflected his love for the simple pleasures of life. He loved cutting the grass or solving find-a-word searches on his lanai.
His friendly nature shone through in his love for conversation, as he never missed an opportunity to strike up a chat with neighbors or newcomers alike. One of Lewis's most cherished pastimes was sitting on the porch swing with his dear Sylvia, sharing moments of laughter and love.
Those who knew Lewis would describe him as loving, funny, and friendly- a man who brought warmth and light into the lives of those around him. His ability to find joy in everyday moments and loved spending time with those he loved.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Judy Lady (Scott) of Livermore, CA, Nancy Dincher of Cogan Station, and Jean Patrick (David) of Williamsport; four grandsons, Michael Lady (Lark James), Matthew Lady, Mark Patrick, and Ryan Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Andrew Dincher; three brothers, Stanley, Walter, Joseph Kuna and two sisters, Pauline L. Kraynak and Helen A. Fink.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 19 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 West Fourth St. Williamsport.  Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 18 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lewis’ name may be made to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Williamsport, 1001 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, PA 17701 or the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, P.O. Box 3232, Williamsport, PA 17701.
