Born at home in the close-knit Willow Grove Community on November 2, 1934, Betty was the beloved daughter of the late Roy and Mable Irene Maxfield Mabrey. From a young age, she dreamed of being a devoted mother and homemaker. When she married the love of her life, Thomas Melvin White, her dream blossomed into a beautiful reality. Together, they created a legacy of love and family that will live on for generations.

Betty’s joy came from the simple yet meaningful moments—family gatherings filled with laughter, sharing meals with friends, and the warm embrace of loved ones. Her kitchen was always a place of comfort, and her heart was a wellspring of kindness and care.

Betty’s love lives on in her family:

Daughters: Charlotte Presley of Willow Grove and Cindy Garrett (husband Larry) of Paoli, IN.

Son: Charles "Chuck" White of Livingston, TN.

Grandchildren: Paul Presley, Brandon White, ChelSea White (husband Michael Caldwell), Melody Gentry (husband Xzavier), Chad Cooper (wife Sarah), Caleb Garrett (wife Sara), Seth Garrett (wife Heather), and Logan Garrett (wife Ciera).

20 precious great-grandchildren.

2 adored great-great-grandchildren.

Siblings: James "Jimmy" Mabrey, Pam Huddleston, Isabella Miller, Sandra Copeland, and Sharon Paul (husband Robert).

She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Thomas Melvin White; her grandson, James Michael Presley, Jr.; her siblings, Josephine Copeland and Roy Roger Mabrey; and her parents, Roy and Mable Irene.

Betty Jean Mabrey White will forever be remembered for her boundless love, her gentle spirit, and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
