Jonathan “Jon” David Hendren, age 43, of Taylorsville, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at his home.

            Jon was born September 16, 1981, in Catawba County, the son of Danny Hendren and Nancy Wike Hendren of Taylorsville.

            Jon worked with his family at Hendren Insurance as an agent. Jon professed faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church. He loved music, playing the guitar and drums. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and was an excellent cook and made delicious food. Jon fought his cancer battle courageously and maintained a positive outlook finding humor even in the toughest moments.

            Including his parents, those left to cherish and honor his memories include: his fiancé, Shiloh Cory; his sons, Aaron Williams of Banner Elk, William Hendren of Taylorsville; his brother, Codey Hendren (Laura) of Taylorsville; his nieces, Lydia, Carly, and Hannah Hendren; and a number of other family members and friends.

            The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Three Forks Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Dr. Carson Moseley and Dr. David Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
