Alan Dewayne Luke Obituary

Alan Dewayne Luke, age 73, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Herriman, Utah. He was born on May 16, 1951, in Tucson, Arizona to William and Frances (Post) Luke.


Alan was raised in Tucson with two sisters and four brothers. After graduating from Tucson High School, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp. Alan later graduated from the University of Arizona and pursued a career in agriculture. It was during his military service that he met and married his wife, Julie G (Knudsen) Luke. Together they raised their family. Alan was passionate about his work and retired from the D’Arrigo Brothers of California after more than 20 years of work with them. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many positions.


Alan was preceded in death by his baby daughter, Jocelyn, his parents, Francis and Bill, and his sister, Marie Despain. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Julie; daughters, April Luke (Brian Pachkowski), Jennifer Luke, and Katie Palmer (Jason); and his sons, Jonhenry Luke (Maricruz Galvan), Shane Luke (Brigitte), and Timothy John (Kira). Alan has nine grandchildren: Kasandra, Zach, Harrison, Preston, Lance, Natalie, Evan, Makenna and Grayson. He is also survived by five siblings. Alan will be missed dearly by them and many others whose lives were impacted by him.


A memorial service for family will be held in Arizona on January 17, 2025.
