Robert Arthur Slone, 71, of Mouth Card, KY died December 13, 2024, at his residence. Robert was born April 3, 1953. He was a retired coal miner, owner of Slone’s Wrecker Service and a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ. Robert was the son of the late Jessie and Verda Kendrick Slone.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene David Slone and James Slone; a son, John Varney; granddaughter, Hunter Jeanay Lell, and great-grandson, Jeremiah Griffey.

Left to mourn his death, his loving wife of thirty-four years, Phyllis Thacker Slone; his children, Norma (Dean) Spears, Robbie (Jessica) Slone, Elizabeth (Michael) Cantrell, all of Mouth Card; Angela (Mark) Hicks of Richmond, Deborah (Matt) Lell of Fedscreek, & Kristie (Lyle “Cooter”) Skeens, of Mouth Card; brothers, Don Slone, Doug Slone & George Slone; loving grandchildren; Kim, Brody, Lindsey, Kerra, Alexandria, Timothy, Isaac, Olivia, Benjamin, Sarah, Jessica, Jonathan, Justin, Ashley, Brianna, Tayla, and Sierra; great grandchildren, LaKenzie, Rayven, Darby, Maggie, Clay, Ella, Tien, Titus, Bryson, Brennan, Braylen, Kayden, Colton, Waylon, Aubree, & Carder; dear friends, Mike Dameron, Keith Hurley, Ron Miller & Gary Coleman.

Robert will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will accept friends Monday, December 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM and Tuesday, December 17, 2024, with nightly services at 7:00 PM at the Mountain View Church of Christ, at Mouth Card. The funeral will be Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the church at 12:00 PM with Steve Cantrell officiating all services. Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY.
