Donna Young Obituary

Donna Young, a beacon of joy and friend to all, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, at the age of 76, in her hometown of Evansville, IN. Born on February 23, 1948, to James and Mary Brown, who preceded her in death along with her sister Bonnie Allen, Donna's life was a tapestry of vibrant relationships and a testament to her loving spirit.

Donna, affectionately known by those close to her, was a twin and shared an unbreakable bond with her brother, Dan Brown. Her family circle included her cherished sons, John and Mark Faver, who were the pride of her life, along with several adoring grandchildren including Chelsea Faver, and her husband Kameron Bates, Johnny and Austin Faver who will carry her legacy forward. Donna's life was further enriched by the companionship of her long-time partner, Sidney Beard, who stood by her side through many of life's adventures.

Her niece and nephew, Christopher Brown and LeAnn (Greg) Sloan, along with her great-nieces and nephews, Maddie Brown, Steven Brown, Audrey Brown, Justin Sloan, Spencer Sloan, Katie Sloan, and Sarah (Doug) Williams, will fondly remember her infectious laughter and the warmth she brought to every family gathering. She was especially fond of Sarah's son Ezra Williams. Donna's circle of love extended to her close friends, Chuck (Carol) Davis, Scott (Wanda) Allen, Isabelle and Michael, who were like family to her. She had a special love for her grandparents Tom and Toni VanWormer.

Donna's passion for life was paralleled by her love for interior design, a field in which she excelled after earning her associate's degree from Ivy Tech. Her flair for transforming spaces was only matched by her ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Donna's interests took her on many travels, each journey an opportunity to meet new friends, for she never knew a stranger. Her bubbly personality was a source of light and comfort to everyone she met.

An avid antique collector, Donna spent countless hours in search of unique treasures, each piece a reflection of her appreciation for beauty and history. Her upbeat nature was contagious, and she had the remarkable ability to turn the mundane into the extraordinary.

Donna's love for her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She reveled in the joy of spending time with her loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her presence was a gift, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

As we bid farewell to Donna Young, we celebrate a life lived with enthusiasm, love, and an unwavering positive spirit. Her legacy will continue to inspire and influence everyone who was fortunate enough to cross her path. Donna's journey through life was one of joy, friendship, and an enduring zest for the experiences that knit the fabric of a life well-lived.
