Joy Galios Obituary

God blessed us with Joy Galios for 98 years.

Born in Denver, Colorado to Spiro Razatos and Ruby Repousis, who immigrated from Kefalonia, Greece.

Joy attended East High School, received her bachelor's at Denver University, and then received her master's in Education at Northern Colorado University in 1978. Joy taught for 27 years in Denver Public Schools.

United in marriage for almost 70 years to Tom Galios, dancing forever more to their wedding song, "At Last' by Etta James.

A loving and joyful mother to Paula, Annette, and Connie. Proud mother-in-law to John, Dan and Jimmy. Joy is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Joy and Tom were blessed to travel all over the world together, visiting multiple continents, countries, and states.

Joy and Tom enjoyed many summers at their cabin "Eros Acres" in Pine, CO and winters in Mesa, AZ for the past 20 years.

Joy was a servant of God and daughter of Christ at 6th and Pennsylvania Greek Orthodox Church, and a co-founder and parish member of Assumption Cathedral and St Catherine Greek Orthodox church.

Above all that, Joy was loved by many people outside her immediate family and had many special relationships. It is hard to imagine a world without her.
