Fredrick Greig Herbert

February 11, 1961 – December 13, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Fred Greig at the age of 63.

Fred was the devoted husband of Linda Greig, with whom he shared over 45 wonderful years of marriage.

Fred will be remembered for his boisterous spirit, quick wit, and warm heart. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. Some of Fred’s most treasured memories were the times he spent with his two beloved sons, Curtis and Callan, whom he loved and adored with all his heart. He cherished every adventure shared with his family and friends.

Fred also had a special place in his heart for “his boys,” dogs, Oliver and Odie, who were often found sitting on his lap, bringing him endless joy and companionship.

Fred and Linda shared a beautiful life together, built on love, laughter, and sometimes chaos. Together, they created unforgettable memories traveling to destinations such as Mexico, England, Nova Scotia, and Alaska, among others. These trips were a testament to their bond, filled with exploration, relaxation, and countless cherished moments that Fred held close to his heart.

Fred was a devoted father to Curtis (Melissa) and Callan (Brittany), and a proud grandfather to Emma, Adam, and Haley.

He is fondly remembered by his siblings and family: Rose Tillings (John Kowch), John Greig, Heather (Rod) Day, Marlene (Roch) Lalonde, Jim (Lori) Greig, Ernie (Sally) Greig, and his mother, Audrey Greig. Fred also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will miss him deeply.

Fred was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Greig; his parents-in-law, Neil and Verna Spivak; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Greig; and his nephews, KJ Tillings and Corey Tillings.

In accordance with Fred’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Instead, honor his memory by raising a glass and sharing cherished moments with your loved ones, just as Fred would have wanted.
