Frances Lucille Benson, 6, of Hurdle Mills, passed away in the arms of her mother, Friday, December 13, 2024. Known as Francy by those who loved and adored her, she was born in Orange County. Francy, the daughter of Eric William and Sabra Jean Benson, is a homeschool student who loved nature and the outdoors. Francy enjoyed swimming, hiking, soccer, and most of all playing with her sisters. She always looked forward to summer when she could have her favorite food watermelon. Some of her other favorites were Minnie Mouse and crocodiles. Francy was also a good friend and had dear friends she loved to play with. Francy was silly, feisty, and could light up a room.
In addition to her parents, Frances is survived by her grandparents, Jerry and Christine Browning , Marcus David Benson (Kay), and Cindy Chittick-Harvey (Gary); three sisters, Kaysleigh, River and Ellinore; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A rosary will be held at 5PM Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Brooks & White Chapel followed by visitation from 6-7:30PM. A funeral mass will be held 11AM Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church by Father John Curran and Father Albert Lelo. Burial will be in the church cemetery directly following.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Benson II, Nathan Browning, Greg Steffens, and CJ Hamilton. Honorary pallbearer will be Eric Benson.
