Barbara J. Musso, 77, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 13, 2024. Born November 22, 1947, in Rockford, the daughter of George and Regina (Jenkins) Wallace. Married to Myron J. Musso on October 4, 2004, in Central Park in New York City. Barbara was employed as a nurse for many years in the area, including Rockford Memorial Hospital and Clinic, prior to retirement. Barbara enjoyed nothing more than spending time with Myron and her family. They were her heart and happiness. Survivors include her husband, Myron; her children, Thom (Tom) White, Andrea (Dwayne) Rusk, and Eric (Jennifer) White; proud grandmother to Joshua (Mari) Sherman, Sophia White, and Olivia White; Barbara was thrilled to be “Granny Babs” to her great-grandson, John D. Sherman; she was blessed with "Bonus Daughters", Gina (Jason) Kultgen, Bridget (Mike) Reibel, and Chelsea (Nate) Hamilton and their children. Barbara wanted Myron's daughters to know how thankful she was that they always made her feel welcome in his family. She is also survived by brothers, Edward Bick, and Paul (Mary) Wallace; sisters, Regina VandeVisse, and Maryann Gagliano; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Wallace, and Rita Kerno; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Blu. Barbara was predeceased by her parents; and her brothers, George, Tom, and David.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. There will be a private burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL, for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Barbara's name for the causes she supported.
