Theodore (Ted) Podgorski, 95, passed away peacefully at home on December 13th.
He was the son of the late Anna (Karpiel) and Adam Podgorski, born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Ted and his wife of 70 years, Josephine (Babe), raised their family in Philadelphia before moving to Blakeslee, PA after his retirement. Ted was a proud Teamster tractor trailer driver for M.A.B. Paints from the age of 17 until he retired at 62 years young.
Ted and Josephine later moved to Williamstown, NJ where they enjoyed being closer once again to family. Ted spent his last years in Wildwood, NJ where he enjoyed riding his bike on the boardwalk and visits from immediate and extended family members.
Ted was predeceased by his loving wife Josephine (Babe), as well as three sisters, Mary Kapusta, Sophie Simpson, Josephine Vadino and six brothers, Stanley, Francis, Walter, Marion, Edward and Freddy.
He is survived by his four daughters, Joanne (Michael) Bonner, Kathy (Carmen) Peca, Irene (John) Stewart, and Chris (Bruce) Jenkins. Ted was a true family man and very proud of his 9 grandchildren: Michael (Junko) Daley, Brian (Maggie) Daley, Dr. Joanne (Phillip Ross) Peca, Bruce (Jenny) Jenkins Jr., Theodore (Rian) Jenkins, Chrissy Jenkins, Sarah Stewart, Jaclyn (Chris) Franzwa and Caitlin (Tom) Stewart.
He was thrilled to be able to spend his later years with his 12 great-grandchildren. He was known as Pop to not only Julia, Luca, Megan, Ryan and Kaden Daley, Ashley, Teddy, Aaron, Colin and Brennan Jenkins, and Wyatt and Holly Franzwa but so many more who have been a part of his full life and lovingly refer to him as ‘Pop’.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA 19008 on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
