Christine M. Darrohn, 61, formerly of Norristown, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 13, 2024, at her home in Farmington, Maine. Born in Pine Hill, NJ, she was the daughter of John M. “Jack” Darrohn, Jr. of Norristown and the late Jacqueline A. (Weidner) Darrohn. Holding an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arizona in addition to a PhD in literature from Rutgers University, Christine was widely published in peer reviewed journals regarding English literature. She often gave lectures at the MFA conferences. Currently, she was an associate English professor at the University of Maine, Farmington. Her writings were especially about the English author Virgina Woolf, and English literature during WWI. She will be remembered for her collection of fine pottery and ceramics.
Survivors: father Jack; brother Jeffrey, both of Norristown; cousins Joyce, John, Debbie and Donna.
Services; 2:00 PM, Friday, December 20 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown, PA 18102. Calling hour will begin at 1:00 PM.
