Elaine Kathryn Copeland, age 77, of Vancouver, WA passed away on Dec. 13, 2024. Born on April 22, 1947, Elaine dedicated her life to her family and her passion for education.

Elaine was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. After raising her children, she returned to school to complete her education, earning a teaching degree from Concordia University. She became a beloved elementary school teacher within the Vancouver School District, where she took great joy in nurturing young minds.

In addition to her professional achievements, Elaine loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and traveling with her husband, John, to their favorite destinations, Mexico and Hawaii.

Elaine is survived by her husband, John Copeland; siblings, Rod Williams (Kathy), Brenda Pratt, and Joanne Harris (Mike); children, Jill Smith (Holloman), Jamie Bush (Holloman), and Paul Kramm (Amy), stepdaughter, Jill Young (Rusty); and grandchildren, Brandon Bush, McKenna Bush, Taylor Miller, and Tyler Kramm. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathon Kramm.

A graveside service and reception to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held on Dec. 27, at 12 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
