Oliver James Howard Obituary

Oliver James Howard, a beacon of joy and love, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Canton, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 30, 2024, in Wayne, Michigan, Oliver's brief time on earth was a gift to all who knew him.

From the moment Oliver entered this world, he was the embodiment of happiness. His infectious smile and gleeful laughter brought light into the lives of his parents, Julius Dahl and Meirya Childers. He was the cherished grandson of Tatika Howard, David Childers, Kristin McIntosh, and Fawn Iverson. Oliver's presence was a source of constant delight to his great-grandparents, Mary (Ron) Cochell, David (Jan) Childers, Bob (Judy) Poike, and Trish Flaherty, as well as his great-great-grandfathers, Ronald Burks and Donovan Enos. He was also adored by his aunts and uncles, Brandon Childers, Leosha Jackson, James Jackson, William Childers, Defawn Jackson, Dejay Jackson, Kylee Childers, Cailin Bologa, Ashley Dahl, and Eliana Dahl, and his cousin Isabelle Kerkhoff.

Oliver, known affectionately as "Stinker Butt" and "Love Bug," was a source of endless joy and entertainment. His love for bright colors was evident in his fascination with the vibrant worlds of My Little Pony and Octonauts. He was a conversationalist in his own right, always eager to babble and engage with anyone willing to listen to his sweet, inquisitive sounds.

Oliver's love for life was palpable in everything he did. Whether it was snuggling close, giving the best cuddles, or erupting into giggles when tickled, he had a way of making every moment special. His love for belly raspberries and his ticklish nature often filled the room with his laughter. Always ready for a dance, Oliver moved with the music, his tiny feet kicking with excitement.

A food enthusiast from the start, Oliver approached meal times with eagerness and a surprising sophistication for such a young age. He was happiest when held close by his adoring parents, whom he loved with all his heart. Their bond was a testament to the profound connection that can exist between a child and their parents.

Oliver's time with us was far too short, but the impact he made will be felt forever. He was a constant reminder of the purest form of love and the simple joys that life can offer. His spirit was a light that shone brightly, touching all who had the privilege of being a part of his world.

As we say goodbye to Oliver James Howard, we celebrate the love he shared and the happiness he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were touched by his extraordinary spirit. Oliver, our "Stinker Butt," will forever be remembered as a loving soul, a beacon of joy, and a cherished child who, in his brief time, taught us the depth of love and the beauty of life.
