Linda Lou Quinett Obituary

Linda Lou Quinett, age 82, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 13, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born May 8, 1942, to the late Raymond and Marjorie Scroggins.

 

She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1960, and married Michael Quinett in 1963. She encompassed the role of homemaker to its fullest, raising five wonderful children, and making cooking and sewing her favorite hobbies. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Linda is survived by her husband, Michael Quinett; her sisters, Karen Simpson (Dave), and Judith McMillan; children, Stephen Quinett (Lori), Suzanne Rea (John), Shelly Quinett, Scott Quinett, and Sarah Fleming (Brad);  grandchildren, Mackenzie Newton (Quentin), Stephanie Elpers (Zach), Kaylee Quinett, Nathan Popp, Kelsey Quinett (Brett Qualls), Samuel Rea, Michael Quinett (Emily), Brylee Quinett, Bryce Quinett and Bella Estabrook, three great grandsons, Oliver, River and Kolt, and many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy Hancock, and brother, Raymond Scroggins Jr.  

 

Services will be 12 PM. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Vincennes Chapel. Family and friends may visit from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. A Christian burial will follow in the Mt Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
