Della Marie Luman, 87, of Alpena passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, at Traditions of Saginaw Senior Living.

Della Marie Rivers was born in Garden, Michigan on March 2, 1937, to the late James and Yvonne (Shorkey) Rivers and graduated from Catholic Central in 1955. On December 28, 1963, she married John R. Luman. He preceded her in death on December 28, 2003.

She was an LPN at Alpena General Hospital for 10 years before starting her family. She later held various jobs and volunteered with the hospital auxiliary. She was a member of All Saints Parish and its sodality.

Surviving are her 3 children, Wayne (Diane) Luman, Mark Luman, Diane (Fred) Bolger; 3 grandchildren, Alex (fiancée Avery Sommers) Luman, Cassie Bolger, Paul Bolger; twin sister, Doris (Ralph) Stevens; several nieces and nephews.

Della was preceded in death by her grandson, Charles Bolger; and brother Donald (Rose Mary) Rivers.

Visitation will take place at the Bannan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Emmanuel Finbarr officiating.

Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
