Lisbon- Kathleen “Kay” Y. Buckley, 85, passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Hospice of the Valley Hospice House with her loving family at her side.

Mrs. Buckley was born August 28, 1939 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Maurice W. and Majorie R. (Smith) Armstrong and lived in the Lisbon area all of her life.

A 1957 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Kay worked as a secretary for Attorney Charles A. Pike.  After leaving to raise her family, she returned to work in Lisbon Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1999.

Kay was a member of the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, camping, and visiting her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Paul E. Buckley, whom she married May 2, 1959; daughter, Suzanne E. (Michael) Hritz of Salem; sons, Michael A. (Colleen) Buckley of Fort Collins, Co, and Terry L. (Bianca) Buckley of Johnstown, OH ; sisters, Diane Armstrong and Janet Krueger, both of Lisbon; grandchildren, Dr. Christopher (Dr. Tamara Halaweh) Hritz of Columbus, Craig (Chalette) Hritz of Hudson, Michael (Amanda) Hritz of Boardman, Keenan Buckley of Fort Collins, Ashley, Abby and Ally Buckley, all of Fort Myers, FL; and 5 great- grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Allmon officiating.  Private burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will receive guests from 6pm to 8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
