Juanita Pauline Dunlap Obituary

Juanita “Pauline” Dunlap, 90, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Dr. Jim Smith officiating. Pauline was born March 30, 1934 in Ranger, Texas to C.O. and Cressie Harriss. She married Ray Dunlap and they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together. Pauline worked as a waitress at Myer’s Fried Chicken and Sutphen’s BBQ. Later, she managed the Café at Western Merchandisers.

Pauline loved children and animals. She found great joy in cooking for her family; she was an excellent cook. She enjoyed hosting large family gatherings and Christmas parties. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend special thanks to KeKe and Danielle from the Abundantly Blessed Care Homes for their loving care of Pauline, as well as the staff of BSA Hospice of the Southwest.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Dunlap; a brother, Paul Harriss; and three sisters, Colleen Hoynacki, Ruby Lee Meckley and Georgie Smith.

Survivors include two daughters, Marcia Barrick and husband Gary, and Michelle Butler and husband Tim all of Amarillo; two sons, Buddy Osteen and wife Dee Ann, and Terry Osteen and wife Cindy all of Amarillo; three step-sons, Sam Dunlap and Randy Dunlap both of Amarillo, and Curtis Dunlap and wife Diana of Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Kim Valentino and husband Joe of Alabama; seven grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
