James Earl Bradsher was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Darlyen Dunn-Paul and James Bradsher Sr. James graduated from Bryan High School, the class of 19 81, and was a great athlete in both football and basketball. He also attended Lamar University.
Later, James worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 12 years. He then obtained his CDL and drove cement trucks for Knife River for 22 years before his health began to fail.
James accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, James reaffirmed his faith as he acknowledged Jesus as his Lord and Savior. The angels and Heaven are rejoicing and so are we!
On November 8, 1991, he married the love of his life Catherine Mitchell-Bradsher. They celebrated 31 years of marriage until her health failed and she succumbed to cancer with him by her side until she took her last breath.
He leaves so many laughs, long meaningful conversations, and random sayings that would literally make you laugh out loud! To cherish his memories are his son, Omari Bradsher, his daughter Christina Lee-Williams, two grandchildren Carlton and Samaria Wesley. He also leaves behind his wife Sheila Johnson Bradsher. His precious fur baby, Earl. Two brothers Kevin (Beatrice) and Greg (Mary) and a special cousin Amber James and a host of nieces and other family members.
Church Affiliation: St. Paul Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Tracey Chivers.
