William F. Taylor, 86, of Princeton, IN passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1938 in Evansville, IN to the late Francis Taylor and Leria Helen (Corbitt) Taylor. Bill was in the 1957 graduating class of Bosse High School in Evansville, IN. He furthered his education by earning a Bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a Master’s degree from Indiana State University. Bill married Caroline “Peach” Taylor in December of 1958 and was blessed with 49 years of marriage before her passing in 2007. He worked as a school teacher for North Gibson School Corporation for 45 years before retiring. Bill was a member of Prince Lodge 231 F&AM Masonic Lodge, 33rd degree Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville, Hadi Shriner, Grand Order of the Sword of Bunker Hill Pocket City order No 82 of Evansville, and former Board member of Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union. He enjoyed watching Fox news, spending time with his family, hunting and fishing over the years, and supporting the Chicago Bear football team. Bill will be remembered as dad, pappy, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Caroline “Peach” Taylor; brother-in-law, Wayne Ravellette; and sister-in-law, Ann Taylor.
Bill is survived by his children, Kim (Jeff) Catt of Princeton and Kitt (Candice) Taylor of Utah; grandchildren, Kassidy (Donald) Brown, TJ (Nicole) Catt, Jordyn (Taylor), and Sierra (Dakota) Mayzsak; great-grandchildren, Abby, Mitchell, Addison, and McKinley; siblings, Linda Ravellette and Ronald Taylor.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Gary Arnold officiating and burial to follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will take place right at 12:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hadi Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
