Jeanette Alice Young age 63, of Gibsonburg, OH passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg, OH. She was born Jeanette A. Shaw on October 19, 1961 on a base in Okinawa, Japan to William and Mary (Goerres) Shaw. She married Steven G. Young on May 9, 1992 in Genoa, OH. Jeanette and Steven raised 2 children and have celebrated over 32 years of marriage together.

Jeanette, worked in housekeeping at various nursing homes before becoming a full-time homemaker taking care of her two children. A woman of faith she had been a member of Grace Baptist Church in Oak Harbor prior to becoming ill. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening. Other joys included: sewing, cooking, art and crafts, and spending time with her current feline companion Oreo. However, her favorite joy was spending time with her husband and two children.

In addition to her husband Steven, Jeanette is survived by her daughter; Emily Young, and son: Nathan Young both of Gibsonburg, OH. Sister; Mary (Steve) Bailey of FL, and sister-in-law; Dorinda Shaw of TN. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, surrogate parents; Junior and Carol Miller and brother; George Shaw.

Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 W. Main Street, Luckey, OH. A Funeral Service will be held on 11 a.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the funeral home, with additional visitation from 10 a.m., until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH. Officiating will be, Pr. Rick Bickelhaupt. Memorials may take the form of contributions to: Grace Baptist Church.
