Evans Wilkie

SIMPSONVILLE- Randolph Evans Wilkie,84, of 105 Colonial Lane went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 13, 2024, at his residence.

  He was born April 19, 1940, in the Young’s Community of Laurens County to the late Hamilton E. Wilkie and Mary Vaughn Wilkie.  He was a former employee of Cryovac W.R. Grace after working 46 years.  He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church where he served on several committees and was an electrician at Greenville Pickens Speedway for 50 years.

  Surviving is his wife, JoAnn Rochester Wilkie of the home; two sons, Greg Wilkie (Debbie) of Woodruff and Kris Wilkie (Barbara) of Woodruff; one sister, June W. Cooley (Ralph) of Gray Court; one brother, Lanny Wilkie (Joan) of West Union; 3 grandchildren, Bradley Wilkie (Veronika), McKinsey Wilkie, Greer Wilkie and his mother, Katrena Wilkie; one great-grandson, Watson Wilkie.  He was predeceased by a sister, Linda W. Moore.

  Funeral services will be held Monday, December 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 1801 Woodruff Road, Greenville by Rev. Dr. Travis Agnew and Rev. David Williams.  Interment will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville.

  Visitation will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff.  A visitation will also be held Monday, December 16, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service for the Rocky Creek Baptist Church Seniors who may not get to attend the visitation on Sunday.
