Albany – Harvey Greenfield, 92, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn with his loving family by his side. Born on March 20, 1932 he is the son of the late Murray and Zelda (Rosenblum) Greenfield.
Harvey was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School Class of 1949. He then proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-54. During this time he also served as a reporter and war correspondent. Harvey was always an athlete and enjoyed bowling in his free time and even played Minor League Baseball in his youth. He was also an avid fan of The Yankees, Cowboys and Duke Basketball.
Harvey enjoyed writing and was even a published author. He worked as an auditor for N.Y.S. Audit and Control for 35 years until his retirement.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eileen Greenfield; his loving son, Marc Greenfield; and sister-in-law, Karen Greenfield. He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews. In addition to his parents, Harvey was predeceased by his son, Stephen Greenfield in 2016; and his brother, Jerry Greenfield.

Funerals services for Harvey will be held on Tuesday December 17th at 11:00 am at The Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave. Burial will follow at Temple Israel Cemetery.
