Mr. Eddie P. Brown age 76, of Vidalia, formerly of Dublin, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 13, 2024, at his home.  He was born and raised in Dublin, attended Dublin High School, and was an avid fan of  Dublin Fighting Irish football.  He moved to Montgomery County in 2016, and he attended Higgston Baptist Church.  He loved his country and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He retired from Dodge State Prison Department of Corrections, and he enjoyed being outside and yard work.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Brown and Evelyn Davis Brown; grandson, Mason Johnson; and sister, Connie Brown Boney.

His family includes his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Judy Bruce Brown of Vidalia; two daughters, Angela Walker and husband Jeff, and Jennifer Johnson, all of New Port News, Virginia; stepson, Rodney Bruce of Vidalia; grandsons, Robert Johnson of Arkansas, Christopher and Nick Johnson of New Port News, Meloni Galeski of Arkansas, Austin Galeski of Virginia, Wyatt Bruce and wife Summer, Madyson Bruce, and Kaden Bruce, all of Vidalia; great-grandchildren, Peter Johnson, Kinsley Johnson, and Bentley Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Higgston Baptist Church on Monday afternoon, December 16th, 2024, from 2:00 until just prior to the service at 3:00 with Pastor Murray Ward officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Higgston Baptist Church, 512 James St., Ailey, GA 30410.
