Chesley and Flora Thelma (Valentine) Marlett. Doyle passed away on December 13,
2024 in Anadarko, OK at the age of 91.
Doyle and his family moved to Binger, Oklahoma in 1942 when he was nine years old.
He graduated from Binger High School in 1951 and attended Southwestern State
College in Weatherford. On May 30, 1953, he married the love of his life, Rosemary
Hefner in Minco. As a young couple they moved to several towns while he worked at
Western Farmers Electric Co. and Bryum Brothers Implement Co. They planted their
roots in Binger in 1958. Doyle began his career at Caddo Electric as a “grunt” who
assisted linemen. He transferred to public relations and then became the General
Manager of Caddo Electric Cooperative in 1973. He was active in coaching little league
baseball, a member of Rotary Club, and serving his community. Two of his favorite
annual events were the July 4th baseball tournament and the Caddo Electric Annual
Meeting celebration, which he anticipated and enjoyed. Doyle was baptized and later
ordained as a deacon in 1966 at Binger Baptist Church. He was devoted to his faith,
dedicating his life serving his church in various capacities including many years as
Sunday School Director. Doyle retired in 1996 to spend more time with family,
cherishing moments with his grandkids and remodeling homes. In later years his delight
was to be in the midst of his family in whatever activity they were doing.
