Carrie M. Fieck Obituary

Carrie Fieck, nee Kositzke, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 at her home in Appleton, WI. She was born in Appleton on October 9, 1959 to Richard and Judith Kositzke.

Carrie grew up and lived her life in Appleton, graduating from Appleton (West) High School in 1978. She loved gardening, having a large garden at her home, and always having beautiful plants at her apartment. She also loved travelling with her family when her children were younger, and later with her husband to see many wonderful sights including everything from Mount Rushmore and visiting family in Alabama, to things like the world’s largest ball of twine. Carrie had several jobs throughout her life, but her last and most impactful to her was the family she became part of at Manderfield’s bakery. She gained many great friends and enjoyed her time there, including singing along with her coworkers, wearing rabbit ears, and doing what she could to put smiles on peoples’ faces every day. Carrie also enjoyed sewing, making many blankets, chemo port covers, and walker accessories which she donated to nursing homes and cancer patients. She was also a cancer patient at the Thedacare Cancer Center in Appleton, where they did a wonderful job taking care of her and helping her beat cancer in 2021, and doing as much as possible for her in 2023 and 2024, giving Carrie and her family and friends the opportunity to create even more wonderful memories, including celebrating her and her twin sister Terry’s 65th birthday, and seeing her daughter Jess get married.

Her family would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Thedacare Hospice team, who treated Carrie and her family with utmost care, respect and dignity, and allowed her to remain peacefully at home.

Carrie will always be remembered as a loving, tough, caring, and thoughtful woman, sister, friend, wife, and mother, who lived her life with a smile on her face and happiness in her heart.

She is survived by her daughters Kaitlin, Jess (husband Brandon), son Ryan (wife Laura and daughter Sadie), her husband of 34 years, Jeff, and her sisters Terry Staska, and Debbie West (husband Denny), as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
