Gary Bynum, 74, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 9:50 am December 13, 2024 at Axion Healthcare in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born March 14, 1950 in Eastland County, Texas to LeRoy and Nell (Scott) Bynam. Gary married Belinda (Dawson) Bynum on November 2, 2002 in Kentucky and she survives in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Gary is survived by his wife, Belinda Bynum of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Lori Beth Bynum of Woodbury, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren; stepson, Donald Fairfield and wife Leslie of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and stepdaughter, Alecia Bynum and Huston Hartman of Kuttawa, Kentucky.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary was a truck driver for over 30 years until retirement. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era.

Memorials can be given to the family in memory of Gary and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Per Gary's wishes no services will be held.
