Mrs. Cecile Jones Keeble, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. She was born on February 12, 1936, in Welch, Alabama, to the late Herman Tolliver Jones and Frances Holliday Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Keeble; her sister, Sue Rosso; and her son-in-law, Bill Swann.
Mrs. Keeble was a dedicated and long-time employee of C&S Bank. She and her husband were proud charter members of New Hope Baptist Church, where they actively participated in the church community and cherished their faith.
Cecile will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her warm presence, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She enjoyed her involvement with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she formed lifelong friendships.
She is survived by her daughters: Patti Manion (Jeff), Leigh Swann (the late Bill), Lori McClung (David), and Jennifer Koleff; her son, Todd Keeble (Tammy); and her treasured grandchildren: Matt McClung (Lauren), Jamie McKenna (Matt), Brian Swann, Chad Swann (Lindsey), Kelly Domantay (Zack), Caitlyn Flanagan (Philip), Brad McClung (Taylor), Trevor Keeble (Mary Jo), Chelcie Guy (David), and Mackenzie Koleff (Sydney). She was also a proud great-grandmother to Noah, Michael, and Elena McKenna; Brileigh and Mason Swann; Olivia Rae Swann; Macy and Charlie McClung; Aven and Linden Todd; Hayden and Grayson Domantay; Millie and Audrey Flanagan; and Wesley Guy. She is further survived by her extended family and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mike Hornsby. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:00–3:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand. In addition, family will receive friends at the home of Patti and Jeff Manion at 122 Colonial Court.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the caretakers at Vernon Woods, the compassionate staff and nurses at WellStar West Georgia Hospice, and Cecile’s cherished friends for their love and support.
