Ms. Janet Ellen Lillian Morris Lewis, age 85 of Pinetops passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on December 13, 2024.

Ms. Janet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She was a member of Webb's Chapel Baptist Church in Macclesfield, NC.  She was known for her knitting baby gifts and baking her delicious, elaborately decorated cakes.

Ms. Janet was born in England in 1939.  She met William (Bill) Lewis, Sr. while he was stationed in England.  Bill and Janet were married when she turned 18.  During his Air Force career, they were stationed in various locations, both in Europe and the United States.

They had an exciting life together, enjoying pleasant activities that included dancing, gardening and travel.  After 24 year in the Air Force, they settled on the family farm in Macclesfield, NC where they were able to establish a lasting friendship with Lizzie and Bob Riley.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" Lewis of over 50 years.  

Ms. Janet is survived by her two sons, William (Bill) Lewis, Jr. and wife, Debra and Derek (DJ) Lewis and wife, LuJohn and their families.

The family will receive friends and family at Webb's Chapel Baptist Church, Sunday December 15, 2024 from 2 PM until 4 PM.

A Graveside service will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 at 2 Pm in Edgecombe Memorial Park with the Rev. Stephen Duncan.
