Marie Wallace, 94, of Dyersburg, went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Oakwood Community Living Center. She was born October 27, 1930, to John I. and Mary Jones. Marie was a devout Christian and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday school class for many years.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Jim Tom Pilcher with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandson and great grandsons, Michael Walker, Ross Pilcher, Brock Pilcher, Hayden Walker, Taylor Edmonds and C.J. Russell.
She is survived by her three children, Reba Crowder (Talmadge) of Nankipoo, Janet Wallace of Dyersburg, Barry Wallace (Kay) of Ennis, Montana. She was known as Mawmaw to six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, George E. Wallace; her daughter, Amanda Walker; and her grandson, Clint Wallace.
