Sabia Frutti

1924-2024

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother Sabia (LaSorda) Frutti on December 10, 2024 at the age of 100. Reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Bruno and her daughter Vittoria. Cherished mother of Mary (Dominic Sampogna), Nicola (Leah), Luciano (Jayne), and Paola (Vincenzo Panacci). Proud Nonna of Michael (Antonia), Joseph (Jaime), Diana (Phil), Victoria (Anthony), Andy (Nancy), Francesco (Dawn), Bruno, Adriana, Gabriel, Christian, Jessica (Jacqui), Alessandro, Joseph (Melissa), Christopher (Sarah), and Nicholas (Adela). Great Nonna to Kiera (Braidyn), Maxwell, Nahya, Nathan, Christina (Michael), David (Victoria), Jane, Evan, Julia, Brianna, Lily, Nicholas, Nathan, Luke, Leo, and Liam and Great-Great Nonna to Michael Jason, Josephine, James, Gianna, Gabriella, and Vienna. Predeceased by her brother Joseph LaSorda, she will be missed by her loving nephew Luigi (Victoria).

Relatives and friends are welcomed to Bernardo Funeral Homes (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) for visitations on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 2-5 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 9:30 AM. Sabia will then be laid to rest by her husband at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.).

In memory of Sabia, donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to Villa Colombo.
