Mrs. Cecilia Quisses, age 91 years passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Geraldon District Hospital. Cecilia was born on October 6, 1933 in Marten Falls First Nation, Unorganized Territory.

Cecilia loved fishing, trapping, and hunting. She was a proud foster parent to many. In her younger years, she survived living in the bush. She met her husband, Simon in Neskantaga First Nation, together they lived most of their lives in Fort Hope and then moved to Ogoki.

Cecilia is survived by her nephews, Sylvester Loon, Albert Ach, Paul Ach, Russell Ach, Tony Ach, Emil Ach, Gordon Ach, Bruce Ach, Robbie Ach and Dominic Ach, by her nieces Emelda Coaster, Mary Pruden, Maria Baxter, Veronica Coaster, Janet Coaster, Corrina Baxter, Leslie Ach, Carmen Lavoie, Lucy Ach and Stella Ach, by her sister-in-laws Christine Ach and Elizabeth Ach, as well as many other family members.

Cecilia was predeceased by her parents Noah and Mary Ach, by her husband Simon Quisses, by her siblings Antionette, Francis, Patrick, Antoine and Joseph, as well as many other family members.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Sargent and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Robinson officiating. Cecilia will be laid to rest in Marten Falls First Nation.
