Bernice Brinkley Hunt

Mrs. Bernice Brinkley Hunt formerly of 3040 Ellington Airline Road, Dearing, GA was born on Sunday, March 14, 1948 to her proud parents, Lena Fountain Brinkley and Fred Brinkley in Warren County, GA. On her journey, she joined the Poplar Head Baptist Church in Dearing, GA, and served faithfully in the choir, usher board and missionary board. She worked at the former Uniroyal and the former Thomson Company plants until her health declined. She was married to the late Rev. Johnny Hunt. Unto that union, one son was born. Our dearest Bernice Brinkley Hunt departed her blessed life on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 539 Hall Street in Warrenton, GA. We pray to our God Almighty that her transition to her new heavenly home was peaceful. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother, Lean Fountain Brinkley and father, Fred Brinkley. To forever cherish her precious memories, she leaves: a loving son, Dwellyn Hunt of Dearing, GA; four grandchildren, Keona Mone’ Hunt, Amaiya Ya’shae Hunt, Del’drick Lavale Hunt, all of Wrens, GA and Vaneshia Runsha Kelly of Thomson, GA; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Evelyn (James) Mathis, Brenda Brinkley, all of Warrenton, GA, Charlie Mae Hunt of Camak, GA, Gloria Brinkley of Thomson, GA and Natal Waddell of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Anthony Brinkley and Charles (Joyce) Brinkley, all of Thomson, GA; one aunt, Gloria (Willie) Jackson of Augusta, GA; one uncle, Eddie Fountain of Thomson, GA; a devoted cousin, J.C. McBride of Kansas City, MO; six sisters-in-law, Helen (Eugene) McNair, Katie L. Hunt, Mary Johnson, Mary (Willie) Hunt, all of Dearing, GA, Mary B. Hunt and Idella Brinkley, both of Thomson, GA; a devoted and loving friend, Rufus Grier of Dearing, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and additional friends.
