Eddie Jr. Fletcher

Eddie F. Fletcher, 80, went Home to be with Our Lord, Friday, April 15, 2016, in Houston, TX. He was born September 10, 1935 in Hamilton, Ohio to Edward C. Fletcher and Ruth Etta Hamm. Eddie loved his family dearly. He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Sherry; his children, Marchelle Cipra; Debbie Guildoo, her husband Steve; grandchildren, Bo Cipra, his wife Kirby; Laura Cipra; Stephen Guildoo, his wife Shelby; his great-grandchildren, Jonathan Guildoo and Reece Cipra; plus a host of loving extended family members. Eddie served his country proudly with the US Marine Corp and was a member of the American Legion Post 560 for many years. He was a devout Christian and was a member of Houston’s First Baptist Church. Eddie worked for Texas Art Supply and retired after 30+ years of employment. He had a passion for golf and was really proud of his hole-in-one in 2006 at the Battleground at Deer Park. He was also an avid runner for many years. After his retirement, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, and sharing life lessons with them. Some of his favorite times were spent in the backyard sitting by the pool surrounded by family and friends. A visitation is planned for Wednesday, April 20th from 6pm to 8pm at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of his life will be on Thursday, April 21st at noon at Houston’s First Baptist Church in the chapel. A reception will follow. Honorary pallbearers are: Bo Cipra, Stephen Guildoo, Howard Spurgeon, Randy Rogers, Michael Ahrendt, and Terry Ahrendt.
