Margaret Delane Wilkinson peacefully passed away at home on November 30, 2024, in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 83.

Delane was born on January 14, 1941, in Valliant, Oklahoma to Paul and Mamie Scarborough. She was the youngest of 5 children.

Delane worked for many years as a seamstress at Cutchall’s Men’s Store. After leaving Cutchall’s she worked for the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District in the cafeteria at Choctaw Elementary. She later retired as cafeteria manager at Nicoma Park Intermediate school.

Delane had a great love for the outdoors. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and canning the fruits and vegetables it produced. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds. Some of her other outside activities included snow skiing, water skiing, and jumping in the waves on her sea doo up to the young age of 82. Delane also enjoyed reading. She would take what books she had finished reading to Stephenson Cancer Center for others to enjoy.

Delane is preceded in death by her spouse Otis (Cap) Wilkinson, her daughter Cindy Harkey (Roberts), grandson Levi Bethel, granddaughter Christy Garcia, parents Paul and Mamie Scarborough, one brother Paul Scarborough Jr, and two sisters Nora Cox and Edith Rice.

She is survived by her son Mark Roberts and wife Brenda of Harrah, Oklahoma, son John Wilkinson and wife Terry of Midwest City, Ok, daughter Teresa Roberts and husband Art of Albuquerque, New Mexico and one sister Geneva Provence and husband Chuck of Choctaw Ok, 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and a multitude of other relatives and friends.
