William Hobensack

William "Bill" Hobensack, a lifetime resident of Ivyland, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018. He was 91. Born in Ivyland, he was son of the late Isaac Cornell and Susannah (Walker) Hobensack. He was the loving husband of the late Norma (Reiser) Hobensack, with whom he had shared 27 years of marriage. Bill served during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He attended Pierce Business School. He was a partner of William Hobensack and Sons, formerly of Ivyland. Bill was an accomplished pianist; he enjoyed bowling, yard work and travel. He was the past president of the PA Farm Dealers Association, Tri-County Fuel Oil dealers, Warren Company Horse Thieves and past president and member of Hatboro Federal Savings board of directors. He was a life member of the Ivyland Fire Company, serving as fire fighter, president, and treasurer. He is survived by four daughters, Beverly Smith (Tom), Barbara Stebulis (Lenny), Joyce Curnell (Dan) and Jeryl Degideo (Albert); eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and four step-children and many step grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Eleanore. The family would like to thank his caretaker, Rashema, Dr. Chay of Moss Rehab, his nurse Edythe, his physical therapist, Diane and Karen, and Cathy of Luther Woods. Carol and Michele we thank you for your dedication and assistance with dad, he truly enjoyed your weekly visits. His family will receive friends after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in James R. Baskwill Funeral Home, 20 W. Montgomery Ave. (one half block west of York Rd), Hatboro, where a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
